Iradell Pauline Swigart Simpson

Iradell Pauline Swigart Simpson, 64, of Indiana, Pa., died Thursday, December
28, 2000 at her residence.

She was born November 29, 1936 in Craigsville, Pa. (Armstrong County) to Paul
William and Norma (Davis) Swigart.

She was a 1954 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa. and a 1957 graduate of Indiana State Teachers College, Indiana, Pa.

Mrs. Simpson first worked as an English and Spanish teacher and then was a
homemaker.

An active member of the Graystone Presbyterian Church, Indiana she served as an
elder, leader of a senior ladies Bible study, a Sunday school teacher,
interacted with international students and was known as an intercessor of
prayer.

Her hobbies were Bible study and reading. She also enjoyed spending time with
her family.

Survivors include her husband, Robert W. Simpson, whom she married June 17,
1960; two daughters, Mrs. Robert H. (Connie J.) Decker III of Indiana and Mrs.
Kenneth A. (Patricia K.) Davis of Elderton, Pa.; seven grandchildren; her
parents of Worthington; three brothers, Harold Eugene Swigart of Clarion, Pa.,
Harvey Bernard Swigart of Craigsville and Edward Paul Swigart of Worthington;
and two sisters, Shirley Loretta Rupp of Craigsville and Marcia Isabel Trulick
of Worthington.

She was preceded in death by one son, James R. Simpson, who died in 1997.

Friends of Iradell Pauline Swigart Simpson, 64, of Indiana, who died Dec. 28,
2000, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, December 30, 2000
at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, 500 Ben Franklin Road, Indiana. Funeral
services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, December 31, 2000 at the Graystone
Presbyterian Church, Indiana with the Rev. Richard E. Hurley, officiating.

Interment will take place in the Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana, Pa.
