Daniel Leroy Hawk

Daniel Leroy Hawk, 63, 2390 Wapakoneta Ave., Sidney, Ohio, formerly of
Worthington, Pa. died Monday, April 14, 1997, at his home of an extended
illness.
 
He was born April 7, 1934, in Craigsville to Paul Raynard and Anna Margaret
(Jones) Hawk.
 
He attended Worthington West-Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa.
 
He was a self-employed home-builder of in the Worthington area for more than 20
years, a project superintendent at the Ferguson Construction Company in Sidney
for 11 years, a resident maintenance manager at Village West Apartments in Ohio
and currently was the maintenance manager at the Carriage Hill Apartments in
Sidney.
 
Mr. Hawk was a member of the Good Shepard Baptist Church, Sidney.
 
He is survived by his wife, Eileen Claypoole, whom he married June 28, 1952,
three sons, Terry Daniel Hawk, Randy Alan Hawk and Christopher Matthew Hawk, all
of Sidney; two daughters, Brenda Joyce Shaffer of Tampa, Fla. and Andrea Kaye
Hawk, of Indian Rocks Beach, Fla.; 15 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter;
and one brother, Paul Glenn Hawk of Worthington, Pa.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother; one sister, Alda
Geraldine McAllister; and one granddaughter.
 
Friends may call from 5 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday April 16, 1997, at the Cromes
Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Avenue, Sidney, Ohio. Friends of Daniel L. Hawk, 63,
of Sidney, Ohio, formerly of Craigsville, who died Monday, April 14, will be
received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, April 17, 1997 at the F. Duane Snyder
Funeral Home in Worthington where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m.
Friday, April 18, 1997, with the Rev. Steven Olson officiating.
 
Burial will be at Worthington Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Worthington, Pa.
 
Memorial contributions may be made to the Good Shephard Baptist Church, Sidney
or the Wilson Hospice Care.
