Helen LaRue Beers Branan

Helen LaRue Beers Branan, 86, of Cowansville, died on Saturday, October 2, 2021,
at her home.  

She was born in Kittanning on February 24, 1935, a daughter of the late Earl
Raymond and Nettie Mae (Slagel) Beers.

She attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, PA.  

Helen formerly worked as a chef at ACMH.  

She attended Grace Presbyterian Church in Kittanning.  

She enjoyed quilting, gardening, crocheting, going to the casino and flea
markets, baking and cooking, and being grama and great-grama.  

Left behind to cherish her memory includes her son, Chuck Bureau, of Shelocta,
Pa; daughters, Robin (Mathew) Minteer, of Worthington and Betty Haught, of
Cowansville; son, Robert (Kim) Branan, of Greensburgh, Pa; 10 grandchildren; 25
great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and sisters, Margaret Smeltzer,
Martha Boyer, and Deloris Miller, and brothers, William, Clarence, Kenneth and,
Calvin.  

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her sons, James
“J.B.” Bureau and Kenneth Bureau; lifelong companion, William “Butch”
Rumbarger; grandsons, Eric Bureau, Ronald Haught and Cory Bureau; and
ex-husband, Robert Branan, sisters, Aldora Clever, Bessie Frantz, and Sadie
Rupert, and brothers, Paul, Donald and, Roy.
  
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 7, 2021, at
the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 832 East Brady Rd., Cowansville, Pa with
funeral services to immediately follow at 1 p.m. with Rev. Larry Edwards
officiating. 

Interment will be in Sherrett Cemetery.
