Margaret Elizabeth Travis Foltz

Margaret Elizabeth Travis Foltz, 88, formerly of Worthington, PA, passed away on
April 4, 2024, where she resided with her family in Georgia from 2016 - 2024.  

Margaret was born on August 8, 1935, in North Buffalo Township, PA, to the late
Lurena “Linny” Malinda (Grafton) and Sylvester (Sylvesta) Monroe Travis. 

She was a 1953 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, in
Worthington, PA. 

Margaret was a dedicated and hard worker. She worked at Moonlight Mushrooms for
20 years, was a Crew Leader, and retired in 1993 when the mines closed. 

She later worked at B&J Sporting Goods in Natrona Heights, PA until 2015, when
she officially retired at the age of 80.  

Margaret enjoyed spending time with family, traveling throughout the U.S.,
gardening, doing yard work, bowling, making ceramics, and watching hummingbirds
feed on her front porch flowers. 

Margaret is survived by her children — James “Jim” (Mary Vaughn) Rushing
of Gulf Shores, AL, Melody (Neal) Schoger of Liberty, MO, Debra Brinkley of
Woodstock, GA, and Melony (Kim Paul) Parkhurst of Marietta, GA — her
grandchildren — Melissa (Andy) Knotaitis, Glenn Wolfe, Brandt (Kristal) Wolfe,
Tanya (Kenneth) Hartman, Garrett (Mali Naftali) Dantzler, Alycia (Casey Bonds)
Brinkley, Carl Parkhurst, Laurel (Scott) Schoger-Hall, Holly (Brandon) Floyd,
Ben Petras, Todd Zion, and Jim Duguay — her great grandchildren — Stella
Knotaitis, Beckett Knotaitis, Lexi Hartman, Riley Hartman, Henry Wolfe, McKenzie
Floyd, Luke Floyd, Emma Petras, Blake Petras, Ilay Fainshtad, Noa Fainshtad —
and her siblings — Helen Travis, Sylvester “Sonny” (Jane) Travis, and
Lenard “Pete” (Autumn “Gail”) Travis.  

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents — Lurena “Linny” Malinda
Grafton and Sylvester (Sylvesta) Monroe Travis — her husband — James P.
Foltz — her siblings — Donald (Shirley) Grafton, Anna Marie “Tootie”
Lasher, Walter L. Travis — her granddaughter — Trisha (Rushing) Duguay —
and Ed Smith. 

Family and friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, April
9, 2024, at the F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home, 119 Bear St., Worthington, PA. 
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 10, at 11
a.m., with an additional hour of visitation prior to the service.  

Burial will follow in Lawn Haven Burial Estates in Worthington, PA.
