Gracia Estella Shearer Fleeger
Gracia Estella Shearer Fleeger, 71, of East Brady, died at 3 p.m., Saturday,
August 11, 2007, in Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, Kittanning.
Born in Kittanning, October 24, 1935, she was the daughter of James A. and
Beulah (Davis) Shearer.
She was a 1953 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.
She was the founding administrative director of the Sewage Enforcement Agency of
Armstrong County, serving from 1977 until her retirement in 2002.
She was a founding member of the Sugarcreek Ambulance Service. She was a
longtime school bus driver for the Shriver Bus Company.
On Jan. 10, 1954, she married Richard J. Fleeger, and he died Oct. 27, 2003.
Surviving are a daughter, Anne Dailey and her husband, Harve, of Kittanning;
four sons, George Fleeger and his wife, Deb, of Kittanning, Richard Fleeger and
his wife, Tammy, of Worthington, Jeremy Fleeger and his wife, Anna, of
Worthington, and Robert Fleeger and his wife, Christy, of Worthington; and nine
grandchildren, Nathan and Colleen Dailey, Jennifer (Jordan) Porter, Christina
Fleeger, Richard and Ian Fleeger, Hailey Fleeger, Amanda and Jessie Altman.
Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the STEIGHNER FUNERAL
HOME, 111 E. Slippery Rock St., Chicora.
A private memorial service will be held by her family.
