Louis Melvin Claypoole

Louis Melvin Claypoole, 77, of Moncks Corner, S.C., formerly of (Slate Lick)
Kittanning, Pa., passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2013.

He was born, July 9, 1935, in Worthington, Pa., he was a son of the late Blair
T. and Edna (Baker) Claypoole.

He was a 1953 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.

He joined the Marine Corps and served for three years during the Korean War.
After serving his country, Mr. Claypoole went on to a career of truck driving.
An owner/operator, Louis also drove for Linde Air and Alltel.

Mr. Claypoole loved working in his yard and keeping up with his flowers,
especially his rose bushes.

A member of Northside Baptist Church, Moncks Corner, Mr. Claypoole was a loving
husband, father, grandfather and friend.

He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Henrietta O. "Teeny) Claypoole,
of Moncks Corner; daughter, Charlene D. Walthour, of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; son
Charles E. Walthour Jr. and wife, Linda M., of (Boggsville) Sarver, Pa.;
granddaughter, Lindsey Lee Walthour, also of Sarver; siblings, Bernard Wayne
Claypoole of Kingman, Arz., Roderick Carl Claypoole, Shirley Ann Smouse, Carolyn
Yvonne Renwick all three of Worthington, Ernest Dwight Claypoole of Ford City,
Pa., Everett Blair Claypoole of Tuscumbia, Ala., and Dennis James Claypoole of
Worthington; and brothers-in-law, Daniel and Donald Gariglio.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2013, in Northside
Baptist Church, with Pastor Frank Bailey officiating.

The family would like to thank their church family and friends for all of their
help since Louis and Teeny moved to South Carolina.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Northside Baptist Church, 152 Lazy
Hill Road, Moncks Corner, SC 29461, Louis Melvin Claypoole.
