Esther Roberta Brotzman Kenagy

Esther Roberta Brotzman Kenagy, age 79, of Beavercreek, died on July 9, 2014. 

Esther was born February 20, 1935 at Magee Women's Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA to
William S. and Lenoir W. (Stewart) Brotzman and raised in Worthington, Pa. 

She was a 1953 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School and also from
Penn State in June 1957 with a degree in Home Economics. 

She married Lloyd Neil Kenagy of Huntingdon Valley, Pa. in June, 1957.

Esther was devoted to making a strong and supportive home for her much-loved
family. 

She served as a family support volunteer for the American Red Cross at Kirtland
AFB NM, Fort Douglas UT and Wright-Patterson AFB OH. 

As a life-long Presbyterian, church and church activities were important to
Esther in each community she lived. 

An active member of Memorial Presbyterian in Xenia, she managed all activities
of the kitchen for many years, served as an Elder and Deacon, and was a member
of the Chancel Choir and Covenant Sunday School class. 

Esther is survived by her husband Neil; son David (Robin) Kenagy, daughters
Carolyn (Thomas) Sweeney & Audrey (John) Brandmeier; grandchildren Michael
(Maurine) & Patrick Sweeney, Joshua & Elizabeth Kenagy, and Christopher, Anna &
Laura Brandmeier; great-grandchildren Joshua's Aaron, plus Michael & Maurine's
Eli & Aran; and sister Harriet (Robert) Boedecker. 

Visitation will be 6 to 8 PM on Friday July 11 at Tobias Funeral Home in
Beavercreek. Services will be at 11 AM Saturday July 12 at Memorial Presbyterian
Church. 

Burial to follow at Ridge View Cemetery, Elders Ridge, Pa. 

Contributions may be made to the Memorial United Presbyterian Church or a
charity of your choice in memory of Esther B. Kenagy.
