Dorothy Jean Robinson Slater Hayes
Dorothy Jean (Robinson) Hayes, 71, of 301 S. McKean St., Kittanning (Balcony
Towers), formerly of Sagamore, died Sunday, August 14, 2005 in Armstrong County
Memorial Hospital, East Franklin Township.
She was born January 4, 1934 in West Franklin Township to Thomas and Hazel Irene
(Keener) Robinson.
Mrs. Hayes was a homemaker.
She reared foster children.
She was a Protestant.
She volunteered for the Sagamore Food Bank and Rural Valley Food Share.
Survivors include two sons, David B. Champion of Beyer and Perry A. Hayes of
Sagamore; two daughters, Sandra J. Hayes of Kittanning and Dorothea L. Hayes of
Sagamore; one foster daughter, Kimberly Richard of Sagamore; seven
grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; one brother, Thomas Robinson of
Creighton; and one half brother, Luther Robinson of Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Roy Arthur Hayes, who
died Aug. 5, 1993.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Carson/Boyer
Funeral Home, Inc., 724 Main St., Rural Valley, where funeral services will be
held at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Sagamore, Pa.
