Donald Junior Beers

Donald Junior Beers, 68, of Kittanning RD9 (Manor Township) died Wednesday,
November 14, 2001 at Butler Memorial Hospital, Butler. 

He was born February 17, 1933 in Greendale to Raymond E. and Nettie Mae (Slagle)
Beers.

He attended Worthington-West Franklin High School. 

Mr. Beers was a shop foreman for the Armstrong Group of Companies, Butler. 

An Army veteran, he served during the Korean War. 

He was a Protestant. 

He was a past member of the Kittanning VFW and Eagles. 

His hobbies included hunting, gardening, traveling, camping and horses. 

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Mary Lou (Crytzer) Beers, whom he
married May 2, 1959; one son, Donald G. "Pete" Beers of Kittanning; two
daughters, Mrs. Fred (Cindy) Smith of Worthington and Mrs. Roger (Sandy L.)
Ditmore of Kittanning; nine grandchildren; six brothers, Paul Beers, Alfred
Beers and Clarence Beers, all of Kittanning, Kenneth Beers of Champaign, Ill.,
Calvin Beers of Freeport and William Beers of Worthington; seven sisters, Aldora
Clever, Bessie Frantz, Helen Branan, and Mrs. James (Delores) Miller, all of
Kittanning; Mrs. John (Margaret) Smeltzer of Whitesburg; and Mrs. Floyd (Martha
Bell) Boyer and Mrs. Harry (Sadie) Rupert, both of Pulaski. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Roy Beers. 

A memorial service for Donald Junior Beers, 68, of Kittanning RD9 (Manor
Township), who died Nov. 14, 2001, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Christ
(Rupp) Lutheran Church, Kittanning, with the Rev. William A. Schaefer, church
pastor, and the Rev. John W. Snyder, pastor of St. Luke's United Church of
Christ, co-officiating. 

Interment will be held in West Glade Run Cemetery, Kittanning, Pa.
