James Joseph Peate

James Joseph Peate, 74, of Worthington RD2 died Sunday, April 30, 2006 at
Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, East Franklin Township.

He was born March 3, 1932, in Worthington to Oran and Faye Elsie (Guthrie) Peate
and was a lifelong Worthington area resident.

He attended Worthington-West Franklin High School.

Mr. Peate was retired from the Pullman Standard Co., Butler, with 20 years of
service.

He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War.

He loved fishing, hunting, his family, gardening and his children and
grandchildren.

Survivors include three sons, Richard O. Peate and fiancee Susan of Worthington,
James M. Peate of Worthington, and Timothy S. Peate and wife Lisa of Adrian; one
daughter, P. Diane Stover of Clermont, Fla.; 10 grandchildren: Courtney and Chad
Peate of Butler, Ian and Ashley Shinneman of Worthington, Shane M. Peate of Ford
City, Joel and Dillian Peate of Adrian, Cody and Haley Montgomery of Adrian and
Mark A. Stover of Clermont, Fla.; great- grandchildren two brothers, Chalmer and
Tom Peate, both of Kittanning; two sisters, Janet Hooks and Jean Leach; and
nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Margart (Griffin) Peate; his parents and
brothers Richard, Harlan, Edwin and Robert.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m Tuesday at the Limestone Reesedale
Church of God, Adrian, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wedesday
with Pastor Chris Murphy, officiating. 

Burial will be in the Worthington Presbyterian Cemetery, Worthington, Pa.
