Theodore Richard Shriver
 
Theodore Richard Shriver, Kittanning MR 10, died Friday (August 16, 1957), as a
result of a plane crash near Pensacola, Fla.
 
He was born, December 25, 1934, at Rosston, a son of T. R. Shriver and Ruth
(Snyder) Shriver.

The deceased was a 1952 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School and
had attended Pennsylvania State University, University Park.

He was a member of the Worthington United Presbyterian Church.
 
He enlisted in the naval aviation cadets in, Oct. 1954, and received his wings,
June 13, 1956, at Corpus Christi, Tex.
 
He was later transferred to the Marine corps and was at the time of his decease
a Marine flight training instructor.

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. R. Shriver, Kittanning MR10 (Pine
Hill); and a sister, Mrs. Arnold Crissman, whose husband is stationed at Scott
AFB, Belleville, Ill.
 
Friends of First Lt. Theordore R. Shriver of Pine Hill (Kittanning MR10) who was
killed (Aug. 16, 1957), at Pensacola, Fla., are being held at Walker Funeral
Home, Worthington. Funeral service for the Marine pilot, who was killed in a
plane crash, will be held, at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, in the funeral home. The Rev.
Orville J. Fleming, pastor of United Presbyterian Church, will officiate. 

Burial will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, Pa.
