Donald Dale Harkless
Donald Dale Harkless, 56, of Sarver, died Friday, July 20, 1990 at Allegheny
Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights.
He was born April 18, 1934 in West Franklin Township to Francis and Margaret
(Armstrong) Harkless.
He was a 1952 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.
He retired from US Steel where he was a clerk and worked for the Buffalo
Township Municipal Authority.
He was a member and deacon of Worthington Baptist Church, a Sunday School
Superintendent, and a board member for the Church Association Camp in Slippery
Rock.
Survivors include his mother, Margaret Shunk of Tionesta, his wife, Shirley
(Wyant) Harkless; one son, Brian Harkless of Union, Ohio; one daughter, Judith
(Harkless) Nicholl of Piqua, Ohio; four grandchildren; one brother, Robert
Harkless of Tionesta; one sister, Maxine Fennell of Worthington and his
mother-in-law Lorna Wyant of Ford City.
He was preceded in death by his father, a brother, William Harkless, and a
daughter, Patsy Harkless.
Friends of Donald D. Harkless, 56, of Sarver, who died Friday, July 20,1990 will
be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, and noon to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday
at the F. Duane-Snyder Funeral Home, Worthington. Funeral Services will be
Monday at Worthington Baptist Church with the Rev. Walter Pifer, officiating.
Burial will follow at Worthington Presbyterian Cemetery, Worthington, Pa.
