Alverda Ellen Crissman Sterling

Alverda Ellen Crissman Sterling, 79, of Huron, passed away Tuesday evening, June
10, 2014 at the Cleveland Clinic.

She was born November 9, 1934 in Worthington, Pa., a daughte of Roy S. and
Mildred (Rumbaugh Crissman.

She was a 1952 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.

She worked as a teacher for many years for the Huron Public Schools retiring
when she was at Woodland's Elementary.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Huron and was a member of the
Hummel Club.

She is survived by three sisters, Arlene Brand of McKean, PA, Linda Baker of
Erie, PA, and Robin (Jay) Toy of Worthington, PA.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Sterling in 2004; her parents,
two sisters, Janet Pyle and Geraldine Jack.

There will be no visitation.  A service will be held Saturday, June 14 at 10
a.m. at the United Methodist Church, 330 Williams Street, Huron, with Rev. Roger
Skelley-Watts, officiating.

A private committal service will be at Peak Cemetery, Berlin Heights, Oh., at a
later date.

Contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church, Huron.
