Millard Paul Cayavec
Millard Paul "Buck" Cayavec, 79, passed away Tuesday evening, April 15, 2014, at
St. Joseph Health Center in Warren.
He was born in Yellow Dog, Pa., June 27, 1934, a son of William and Katherine
(Magamore) Cayavec.
He was a 1952 graduate from Worthington High School in Worthington, Pa.,
graduated from Youngstown College with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting and
Business, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Millard worked as a supervisor at McDonald U.S. Steel for many years, before
retiring on Aug. 1, 1997. After retirement, he worked as the office
administrative for his son, Dr. Paul Michael Cayavec.
He was a member of Our Lady Mount Carmel Parish and Knights of Columbus in
Niles.
In his spare time, he enjoyed reading books, watching and listening to sports on
the radio, and loved going to Mountaineer and Vegas.
He will be missed by his two sons, Dr. Paul Michael Cayavec and Jeffrey Paul
Cayavec of Niles; one grandson, Jeffrey Joseph Cayavec of Niles; two brothers,
William (Marcy) Cayavec of Florida and Thomas (Judith) Cayavec of Howland; and
several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Carmella (Naples) Cayavec,
whom he married on May 2, 1959; and one sister, Mary Jane (Frank) Horvat.
Funeral services will be held for Millard at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish,
located at 381 Robbins Ave., Niles, OH 44446, at 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 23,
2014, officiated by Father Lavelle.
Friends and family may call on Tuesday, April 22, 2014, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the
Lane Family Funeral Homes, Niles Chapel at 415 Robbins Ave. Niles, OH 44446,
located next to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish.
Interment will take place at St. Stephen's Cemetery, Niles, Oh.
