Gerald Powell Bowser

Gerald Powell Bowser, of Harlingen, Tx., passed away February 14, 2016, after a
short illness.

He was born October 25, 1933, in East Franklin Township, Kittanning, Pa., a son
of Nicholas Clark Bowser and Emma (Powell) Bowser,

He was a 1952 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.

He spent his life employed as a diary farmer and American General Life Insurance
Agent.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corp and was a member of the First Christian
Church, Harlingen, Tx.

He spent 15 years enjoying traveling with his wife in their motor home before
settling in Harlingen, Tx., He also enjoyed word search books and computer
games.
  
He is survived by his wife, Carol, four children, Terri (Michael) Milne of
Waterbury Center, VT, Kevin (Lisa) Bowser of Kittanning, PA, Karen Augustyn of
Thousand Oaks, CA, Ken (Ruth) Bowser of Warrendale, PA, three step children,
Michael (Sharon) Johnson of Sugar Land, TX, Mark (Jennifer) Johnson of
Colleyville, TX, Mitchell (Kathy) Johnson of Mongomery, TX, twenty-three
grandchildren, three great grandchildren, brothers Herbert Clark, Donald Lee and
sister Martha Ann Patton.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers Rodger Lewis, Edward
Ivor, Sidney Lloyd, John Gilpin, Andrew Craig and sisters Doris Elizabeth White,
Mary Virginia Hindman, Emily Margaret Morgan and Ruth.

A memorial service will be held at Sunwest Clubhouse, Harlingen. TX on March 5,
2016.
