Lester Emanuel Smith
Lester Emanuel Smith, 73, of Worthington, died Thursday, February 9, 2006, at
his residence.
He was born November 17, 1932, in Worthington, to Charles H. and Garnet J.
(Bowser) Smith.
He attended Worthington-West Franklin High School.
He was self-employed and was a lifelong resident of Worthington.
He was a lifetime member of the Buffalo Valley Sportsman's Club.
Survivors include his wife, Mona Jean (Crawford) Smith of Worthington, whom he
married in October 1953; two sons, Terry L. Smith and wife Kathi, and Tim L.
Smith and wife Debbi, all of Worthington; four grandchildren, Shawna, Somer and
Brett Smith and Kylee Barber; one great-granddaughter, Alyza Smith; and two
brothers, Donald Smith, of Rock Spring, Wyo., and Dale Smith, of Montana.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Virginia Smith.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the F. Duane
Snyder Funeral Home, Bear Street, Worthington, where funeral services will be at
11 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Earl Watterson, officiating.
Burial will be in Worthington Presbyterian Cemetery, Worthington, Pa.
