Frank Joseph Perine

Frank Joseph Perine, 70, of Punxsutawney died Monday, November 17, 2003, at
Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

Born August 2, 1933, in Winfield Township, he was the son of Frank and Frances
(Dojak) Perine.

He attended Worthington-West Franklin High School.

He was an Army veteran and a member of the American Legion.

Mr. Perine retired from Alltel Corp. after 33 years. He also taught judo and
karate.

Surviving are his wife, Shirley White Perine, whom he married Oct. 9, 1999; two
sons, Bradley D. Perine of Plainfield, Ill., and Douglas L. Perine of
Austintown, Ohio; a daughter, Linda S. Perine of Erie; stepchildren, Cloyd White
of Cartersville, Va., Holly Davis of Punxsutawney, Michael White of Boiling
Springs, Cumberland County and Edward White of Clearfield; four grandchildren;
and eight step-grandchildren. He also is survived by two brothers, Richard
Perine of Worthington and David Perine of Saxonburg.

His first wife, Mildred Isabel Perine, whom he married April 24, 1954, died in
1995. A brother also preceded him in death.

Friends of Frank Joseph Perine, who died Monday, Nov. 17, 2003, will be received
from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at DEELEY FUNERAL HOME,
113 S. Gilpin St., Punxsutawney. A prayer service will be held at 11 a.m.
Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jack Bauer presiding. 

Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery in Herman, Pa.
