Edward Winfield Bargerstock JR

Edward Winfield Bargerstock Jr., 88, of Kittanning, died on Sunday, November 28,
2021, in ACMH Hospital.  

He was born on March 12, 1933 in Craigsville, PA to the late Edward W. & Minnie
F. (Shay) Bargerstock Sr.

He was a 1951 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
PA.  

Ed worked for Craigsville Tile Plant and Moonlight Mushroom Mine before retiring
from Barker Bus Company.  

He was a Korean War Veteran, serving in the U.S. Army.  

Ed was a member of the Worthington Presbyterian Church where he sang in the
choir and was a past session member.  

He was a little league umpire for over 40 years.  He taught umpire school and
even umpired games in Williamsport.  Ed was inducted into the Armstrong Co.
Sports Hall of Fame for his umpiring.  

Ed loved hunting and fishing and he instilled this love into his sons.  He was
an avid coin collector who enjoyed running his metal detector especially near
his camp in Tionesta.

Ed leaves behind to cherish his memory his sons, Edward F. (Bari) Bargerstock,
of Worthington and John W. (Diane) Bargerstock, of Worthington; and
grandchildren, Tyson J. Bargerstock, Kate M. (Adam) Bertoncello, Samuel W.
Bargerstock, and Jacob S. Bargerstock.  

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, H. Virginia
Bargerstock, who he married in October of 1955 and who died on Dec. 18, 2005;
brother, Robert Bargerstock; and sister, Carol Courson.

Private viewing and services were held by the family in the F. Duane Snyder
Funeral Home in Worthington with Rev. Robert Hindman officiating.  

Burial took place in West Glade Run Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
