Dannie Dean Toy

Dannie Dean Toy, 89, of Worthington, died on Monday, January 18, 2021 at
Armstrong County Memorial Hospital.  

He was born February 9, 1931 in Kittanning, a son of the late Charles and Ella
(Smith) Toy. 

He attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, PA. 

He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Worthington American Legion Post
828.  

He loved days farming the family farm, and he founded Toy Trucking with his
father.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and driving his four-wheeler.  

Dean was always more than willing to share a story with friends and family,
especially his friends at Worthington Senior Center. 

Left behind to cherish his memory includes sons, Jerry and David Toy;
grandchildren, Joshua and Madeline; great-grandchild, “Peanut”; and sister,
Esther (David) Miller.  

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa
(Doujak) Toy, who he married on Nov. 2, 1957 and who died on February 2, 2020;
and brothers, Charles, Robert, and Howard Toy. 

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 21. 2021 at the F.
Duane Snyder Funeral Home, 119 Bear St., Worthington, Pa with Rev. Robert
Hindman officiating.  

Burial will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates.  

For those attending the services for Mr. Toy, all Department of Health and CDC
guidelines will be followed; facial coverings or masks are required.
