Grace Elizabeth Baker Berriker

Grace Elizabeth Baker Berriker, 86, of Murrysville, passed away February 19,
2018.  

She was born on November 24, 1931, a daughter of Jesse King and Wilda Elizabeth
(Summerville) Baker, in Worthington, Armstrong County, Pa. 

She was 1950 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.

Her career life started in Kittanning, PA as a clerk for G.C. Murphy Co., an
operator for Kittanning Telephone, and as bookkeeper for Marshall Farm Equip.  

Opportunity arose in 1951 when she moved to Pittsburgh, became a secretary for
the American Bible Society, then for the US Steel Corp., and met her husband,
Rob Berriker.  

Her life as wife and mother was enriched with moving, making new friends, and
church fellowship across the country from Virginia, Arizona, Michigan,
Connecticut, Nevada, before finally settling in Murrysville.  

After marriage, she rekindled her career, and in 1977 she was hired by Carnegie
Mellon University, and became the Secretary for ASTM/Test Monitoring Center. 
She retired from there in 2001.  

Grace also served as the secretary for the Franklin Towne HOA and volunteered
her clerical skills at the First United Methodist Church in Murrysville.  Grace
loved her family, her church, her friends, and her job at ASTM.  Her wonderful
smile will be missed most of all.  

She is survived by daughter, Robin Berriker, of Murrysville, seven nieces and
two nephews.  

In addition to her parents, Grace was preceded in death by a sister, Helen
Wiles.

At this time, a memorial service has not been planned.
