Carl Owen Bowser JR
Carl Owen Bowser Jr., passed away December 18, 2021, at Calvary Fellowship Homes
in Lancaster, PA.
He was born October 3, 1932, in Worthington, PA., a son of Carl Owen Sr., and
Charlotter (Ross) Bowser.
Carl graduated from Worthington West Franklin High School in 1950, and the
University of Pittsburgh in 1955.
He was a member of Calvary Church in Lancaster.
After serving in the US Navy he worked as a meteorologist for the National
Weather Service at the Pittsburgh Airport then transferred to the National
Weather Service in Silver Spring, MD until his retirement in 1990. After
retirement, he did 4 Maritime Cruises and then moved to Lancaster, PA.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Sherry Bowser.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, December 27, 2021, in the F.
Duane Snyder Funeral Home, 119 Bear Street, Worthington, PA 16262 from 10:00am
until the time of funeral services at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that a donation in Carl’s memory
be sent to Calvary Fellowship Homes, 502 Elizabeth Ave., Lancaster, PA 17601.
