LuVesta Mae Bowser Fennell Woods

LuVesta Mae Bowser Fennel Woods, 71, of 4449 Burlington Road, Lot 70,
Greensboro, NC, died at 9:40 a.m.,Thursday, February 27, 2003, at Moses Cone
Memorial Hospital in Greensboro after a sudden illness.
 
She was born, May 6, 1931, in East Franklin Township, Kittanning, Pa., the
daughter of Wilbert "Brownie" and Ruby Bowser.
 
She grew up in Worthington and attended Worthington-West Franklin High School,
Worthington, Pa.
 
She retired from Cracker Barrel Restaurant and was a member of the Pilgrim
Chapel Baptist Church, Gibsonville, NC., where she  served as director of the
Children's Church, was a Sunday school teacher and sang in the choir.
 
Survivors include her husband, William J. Woods of the home; her four daughters,
Sandra L. Fennell McDaniel of Elon, NC., Cynthia R. Fennell Peeler of
Reidsville, NC., Shirley Y. Fennell Brooks of Gibsonville, NC, and Wanda Fennell
Johnson of Greensboro, NC.; a step-son, Michael J. Woods of Franklinville, NC;
18 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren.
 
She as preceded in death by her first husband, Mr. Ray Clyde Fennell.
 
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening, Feb. 28, 2003 at the
McClure Funeral Chapel in Graham, NC. Funeral services will be conducted at 2
p.m. Sunday, Mar. 2, 2003, at the funeral home by the Rev. Mike Jones, pastor of
Pilgrim Chapel Baptist Church, Gibsonville, NC.
 
Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park, Burlington, NC.
