Robert Calvin Smith
Robert Calvin Smith, 76, of Parker, formerly of Worthington, died Monday, May
28, 2007, in Armstrong County Memorial Hospital.
He was born January 16, 1931, in Worthington, a son of the late James and Jessie
(Doverspike) Smith.
He attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving in Greenland, a member of Franklin
Union Baptist Church and enjoyd working on the farm.
Survivors include his wife, Sheila M. (Dodd) Smith, whom he married Feb. 19,
1983; sons, Daniel Smith, of Oklahoma, Mark Smith, of Clarksburg, and John
Smith, of West Sunbury; daughters, Ruth Ann Williams, of Oklahoma, and Mary
Ellen Nichols, of Oklahoma; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; a
sister, Dorothy Wyant, of Florida; and a brother, James Smith, of Cabot. Also
survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Smith.
Visitation 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at F. DUANE SNYDER FUNERAL HOME,
Worthington. Additional visitation from 10 a.m. until services at 11 a.m.
Saturday at the Franklin Union Baptist Church with the Rev. George Hall
officiating.
Interment Franklin Union Baptist Church Cemetery, Worthington, Pa.
