Richard Adam Stewart

Richard Adam (Dick) Stewart, 64, of Worthington R.D. 1, died Saturday, January
6, 1996, at the Armstrong County Memorial Hospital.

Born July 11, 1931, in West Franklin Township, he was the son of Carl N. and
Lucille (Patton) Stewart.

He was a 1949 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.

He retired in 1992 from United Telephone in Butler after 31 years of service. He
belonged to the Pioneer Club of United Telephone and was a former member of the
Worthington Lions. He was a member of West Glade Run Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Constance Rupp Stewart, whom he married Jan.12,
1979; three daughters, Mrs John (Carol) Stroud III of Chambersburg, Mrs. Thomas
(Karen) Adams of Parker and Rebecca Stewart of York; a step-son, William Wilson
of Tensleep, Wyo.; five grandchildren; a step-granddaughter; two brothers,
Donald Stewart of Worthington and Dave Stewart of Kittanning R.D. 3; and two
sisters, Mrs. George (Virginia) Ruetschi of Penallas Park, Fla., and Mrs. Ray
(Helen) Bowser of Kittanning R.D. 7.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Eileen (Boyer) Stewart, how
died in 1978, and by a son.

Friends of Richard (Dick) Stewart, who died Saturday, Jan. 6, 1996, will be
received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Tuesday at the F.
Duane Snyder Funeral Home, Worthington. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m.
Wednesday at West Glade Run Presbyterian Church, with visitation from 10 a.m.
until time of services. Officiating will be the Rev. David Caves. 

Burial will be in West Glade Run Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Worthington, Pa.
