Walter Ray Simmers
Walter Ray Simmers, 65, of Palm City, Fla., formerly of Worthington, Pa., died
Sunday, November 3, 1996 at Martin Memorial Medical Center, Stuart, Fla.
He was born September 30, 1931, in West Franklin Township to William O. and
Olive Ruth (Hawkins) Simmers.
He graduated in 1949 from Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.
Mr. Simmers was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Palm City, Fla.
He was a member of the CLU.
He moved to Palm City two and a half years ago, from Columbus, Ohio.
He is survived by his wife, Alyce S. (Round) Simmers of Palm City; one daughter,
Lauren Jones of Charleston, S.C.; two grandsons, David Jones and Michael Jones;
one brother, Elmer Henry Simmers of Worthington; and one sister, Dorothy Irene
Cravener of Nashville, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a young sister, Vera M. Simmers, one
brother, Robert Roy Simmers on May 23, 1972.
A Funeral Mass and interment in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City, Fla.,
took place today, Tuesday, November 5, 1996. |
