Betty Lue Crawford Mularchik

Betty Lue crawford Mularchik, 76, of Butler, died Sunday, January 13, 2008, at
the Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot. 

She was born August 13, 1931, in Worthington, Armstrong County, a daughter of
the late Ambrose C. Crawford and Beulah (Shakley) Crawford Emery.

She was a 1949 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa. 

She was an active and devoted member of St. Andrew Orthodox Church in Lyndora,
where she had been a past president of the Sisterhood of the Altar. She had also
been a kitchen volunteer for the Tanglewood Senior Center bingos. Betty had
worked in the production control department of the former Bobbie Brook Clothing
Company in Butler for 20 years, until 1986 when the plant was closed. She then
was employed as a home health care aide for St. Barnabas Home, until she retired
in 1997. 

She is survived by her husband, John Mularchik, whom she married Nov. 27, 1952;
two brothers, Richard (Connie) Crawford, of Kittanning, and Robert (Marie)
Crawford, of Worthington; and four sisters, Mrs. Louis (Louise) Giff, Mrs. June
Smith, Mrs. Jean Smith and Patricia Smith, all of Worthington; and numerous
nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Budd; and her infant sister,
Vivian Crawford. 

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the GEIBEL
FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler. Funeral services will be held at 10
a.m. Wednesday at St. Andrew Orthodox Church, 201 Penn Ave., Lyndora, with the
Very Rev. Joseph D. Wargo, pastor, officiating. 

Interment will follow in North Side Cemetery, Butler, Pa. 

Panachida services will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
