Donald King Claypoole

Donald King Claypoole, 84, of Greentown, Pa., died Wednesday, September 30,
2015, from a cerebral hemorrhage at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore, Pa.

He was born, June 30, 1931, in Worthington, Pa., son of the late Nicholas P. and
Iva M. (Bowser) Claypool.

He was a 1949 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa. 

He was married to Clare Waas Claypoole from NY. The couple had been married for
33 years. 

Donald was an Air Force veteran, where he received the good conduct medal. 

His most recent job before retirement, was at B H Aircraft Co., Inc. as a
currier. 

He was a member of the American Legion Milford, Pa. Donald loved to drive around
in his golf cart, but his greatest enjoyment came from cheering for the New York
Mets. 

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle who will be deeply
missed. 

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters to his first marriage,
Cheryl Valentine and Laura Albert both of Long Island, NY. Five step-children,
10 grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and a special niece, Karen Artman,
daughter of his late brother Guy, who was like a daughter.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by brothers Walfred 
N. Claypool, Guy McKinley Claypool, Jack Ross Claypool, Paul Mervin Claypool 
and a sister June Eileen Smock.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Oct. 17, at 2 p.m. at the Marina
building in the Escape Greentown.
