Carl John Kemp

Carl John "Kempy" Kemp, 75, of Worthington died Friday, November 5, 2004 at the
Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, East Franklin Township.

He was born August 16, 1929 in Fenelton to Carl H. Kemp and Mary (Cannon) Kemp.

He was a 1948 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa. 

Mr. Kemp retired in 1993 from Magnetics in East Butler.

An Army veteran, he was a military police officer for 101st Airborne Division.

He was a member of the NRA.

He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, traveling to Manley
Hotsprings, Alaska, working crossword puzzles and he was known as the
neighborhood handyman.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly (Taylor) Kemp; one son, Robert Kemp of
Worthington; three daughters, Tammy Shaw of Fenelton, Karen Barton and husband
Barry of Worthington and Sandy Kemp of Worthington; five grandchildren, Travis,
Lindsay and Ashley Shaw, and Todd and Brian Barton; and four sisters, Margaret
"Peggy" Fauset of Worthington, Lois Kemp of Kittanning, Ruthie Eyth of Fenelton
and Kathleen Davis of Prospect.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Donald Kemp; and one
sister, Betty Murray.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the F. Duane
Snyder Funeral Home, Bear Street, Worthington where funeral services will be at
1:30 p.m. Monday. 

Burial will be in Worthington Lutheran Church Cemetery, Worthington, Pa. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Orphans of the Storm.
