Charles Grier Hillberry

Charles "Grier" Hillberry, 55, of 539 Chicora Rd., Butler, Pa., formerly of
Worthington, Pa., died last night, Wednesday, October 9, 1985, in St. Francis
General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa.

Born September 23, 1930, in Worthington, he was the son of Orie Geraldine
(Claypoole) Hillberry and the late Carl Ralston Hillberry.

He was a 1948 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.

He was a member of Franklin Union Baptist Church of Worthington. A veteran of
the U.S. Air Force serving in the Korean Conflict.

He retired in 1981 from the Eljer Co. in Ford City, Pa.

Surviving are his wife, Carol Skelley; a son, Douglas Scott Hillberry.,
stationed in Germany with the U.S. Army; two daughters, Darla Sue Hillberry and
Deanna Suzette Hillberry of Worthington; a step-son, Daniel D. Skelley of
Victor, N.Y.; a step-daughter, Mrs. Raymond R. (Debra S.) Fleske of Fenelton,
Pa.; his mother Mrs. Orie Geraldine Hillberry of Worthington; a
sister, Gloria Pauline Hillberry of Worthington; and a granddaughter.

Friends of Charles "Grier" Hillberry, 55, of 539 Chicora Rd.,
Butler, Pa., who died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 1985, will be received at the F. Dwayne
Snyder Funeral Home, formerly the Flick Funeral Home, Worthington, from 7 to 9
p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, 1985.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, 1985  from the funeral
home, with the Rev. William Scarly, pastor of the Franklin Union Baptist Church,
officiating.

Burial will be held in Franklin Union Baptist Cemetery, Worthington, PA.
