Ruth Geraldine Edgington Bundy
Ruth Geraldine Edington Bundy, 89, of Worthington, passed away on Wednesday,
March 18, 2020 at Quality Life Services in Worthington.
Ruth was born at her home in Worthington on June 15, 1930 to the late James and
Agnes (Easley) Edgington.
She was 1948 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, PA.
Ruth was a long time member of Franklin Union Baptist Church in Worthington
before moving to Summerville, WV.
Ruth loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren after
her retirement from working at Ames.
She also enjoyed her time with her friends and church family at Summerville
Baptist Church in West Virginia.
She is survived by her two sons Bernard (Libby) Bundy of Wattersonville, PA;
David (Bonnie) Bundy of Summerville, WV; grandchildren Patrick (Whitney) Bundy,
Allison (Dan) Gaiser, Darcy (Matt) Miles, and Brett (Karen) Bundy; great
grandchildren Payton, Karter, Madilyn, Colton, Brock and Brody; several nieces
and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willard C.
Bundy, who passed away in 1965; sister, Dorothy (Edgington) Dunn; brothers,
James, Arthur, Francis, Bernard, and Paul Edgington.
Due to the current COVID – 19 virus, the family held private services at F.
Duane Snyder Funeral Home in Worthington with Rev. Dana Gatewood of the
Summerville Baptist Church officiating.
Interment is in Lawn Haven Burial Estates in Worthington and a memorial service
will be announced at a later date.
