Edward Stuart Claypoole

Edward Stuart Claypoole, 91, of Worthington, died on Friday, September 24, 2021,
in Butler Memorial Hospital.

He was born on September 11, 1930, on the family farm in Worthington, to the
late Ward O. and Hazel Sarah (Bowser) Claypoole.

He was a 1948 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
PA.

He was a proud farmer who enjoyed working with dairy cows up, until his
retirement, in 2006. 

He was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Worthington. 

Stuart was a lifetime member of the National Holstein Association, PA Farmer's
Association, he was a past council member of Worthington Lutheran Church and a
member of the Woodmen of the World. 

He had a special love for his pets, Lucy and Molly.

Stuart leaves behind: his wife of 67 years, Ethel (Guthrie) Claypoole, whom he
married on March 6, 1954; son, Donald E. Claypoole, of Worthington; nephews,
David Rumbaugh, of Dayton, Pa. and Robert Rumbaugh, of Texas; special friend,
Jeff Huth, of Worthington; and special cousin, Dejay Claypoole.

Family and friends of Stuart Claypoole will be received from 6-8 p.m. on Friday,
Oct. 1, 2021, in the F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home, 119 Bear St., Worthington,
Pa. 16262. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. in the funeral home.

Burial will take place in the Worthington Lutheran Church Cemetery, Worthington,
PA.
