Edna E Dodd
Edna E. Dodd, 46, of RR 3, Kittanning, Pa., retired two years ago after teaching
21 years in area schools died at 8:45 a.m. today, Tuesday, March 23, 1954 in
Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, Kittanning, Pa. She left school teaching
because of ill health.
She was born, April 6, 1907, in Kenfield (Clearfield Co.) Pa., a daughter of the
late George and Clara (Steele) Dodd.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Kittanning.
Survivors include two brothers; Allen Dodd of Salamanca, N.Y. and Delbert Dodd
of Kittanning.; seven sisters, Mrs. Minnie Hall of Butler, Pa., Mrs. Anna Hoyt
of Worthington, Pa., Mrs. Ella Schwelker of Belleville, N.Y., Mrs. Bertha Ovell
of Weedville, Pa., Mrs. Georgia Byers of Catawissa, Pa., Mrs. Dorothy Keller of
RR 1, Worthington and Mrs. Florence Fair of RR 3, Kittanning.
Friends are being received in Walker Funeral Home, Worthington, Pa., where
services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday by Dr. Robert H. Thurau, assisted by
Rev. A.W. Smith.
Burial will be made in Lawn Haven Cemetery, East Franklin Township, Worthington,
Pa.
