Chambers Herculess Claypoole, 80, of Ford City, died Wednesday, May 7, 2008, in
Armstrong County Memorial Hospital. 

He was born September 3, 1927, at home in Worthington, a son of the late
Chambers Claypoole and Edith (Snyder) Claypoole-Heilman.

He attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa. 

He was a member of Franklin Union Baptist Church. 

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Mary Etta Claypoole; daughters, Denise
(Dan) Sample, of Glen Burnie, Md., and Donna (Harry) Shuttleworth and Kathy
(Greg) Toy, of Kittanning; six grandchildren, Jarrod (Mandy) Toy, Nathan (Mindy)
Shuttleworth, Adam (Sonya) Shaw, Amber (Jim) Christopher, Hillary (Billy) Brown
and Charity (Steve) Chacalos; 10 great-grandchildren; and sister, Juanita
Dickey, of Kittanning. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, James H.
Heilman; five brothers, Clarence, Carl, Roy, Randall and Lloyd Claypool; and
three sisters, Genevieve Kueppers, Marie Hepler and June Williams. 

Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Friday at F. DUANE SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, Worthington. Services will be at 11 a.m.
Saturday at Franklin Union Baptist Church, where there will be one hour of
additional visitation before the service. The Rev. George Hall will officiate. 

Interment will be in Franklin Union Baptist Church Cemetery, Worthington, Pa. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Franklin Union Baptist Church Memorial
Fund.
