Mary Lou Cooper Beattie

Mary Lou (Cooper) Beattie, 76, of Kittanning, died Wednesday, January 4, 2006,
in the Armstrong County Health Center, Kittanning.

She was born July 23, 1929, in Worthington, to Orion E. and Ethel (Lewis)
Cooper.

She was a 1947 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.

Mrs. Beattie was a retired secretary for Pet Milk Co. in Bryan, Ohio.

She was a Presbyterian.

She was an avid golfer.

Survivors include one stepson, James Beattie of China; one stepdaughter, Peggy
Beattie of Pine Plains, N.Y.; two brothers, James L. Cooper of Strongsville,
Ohio and H. Dean Cooper of Kittanning; one sister-in-law, Lucille Cooper of
State College; five nephews; four nieces; grandnephews; and grandnieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John L. Beattie; one
stepson, Tommy Beattie; two brothers, Charles L. Cooper and Clyde Cooper; and
two sisters, Lucy Cooper and Norma Bowser.

Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Friday at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, Inc., 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning,
where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. David
Meneely, pastor of the First Baptist Church, Kittanning, officiating. 

Burial will be in the Worthington Presbyterian Cemetery, Worthington, PA. 

The family requests memorial contributions may be made to the Worthington
Library.
