Dora Lois Bowser Jack

Dora Lois Bowser Jack, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, was welcomed peacefully into
the arms of her loving Savior at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2016.

Dora Lois was born on August 8, 1928, at her family home in Slate Lick,
Pennsylvania a daughter of Wilbert and Goldie (Hooks) Bowser. 

She was a 1947 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa. 

She then attended Immanuel College of the Bible in Wheeling, West Virginia, for
two years, after which time she received her MRS degree. 

She married Edwin Gilbert Jack from Indiana, Pennsylvania, on August 2, 1952. 

She has served as a pastor's wife alongside Edwin for 64 years. They served in
West Virginia, Maryland, Ohio and Pennsylvania. They have ministered the last
eight years at Broadmore Nursing Home in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Lois is survived by her adoring husband, Edwin Jack, along with their seven
children: Priscilla (Jim) Anderson, Phyllis (Lou) Kenderdine, and Twila Forster
of Murfreesboro, TN; Pauline (Ray) Pickering of Woodbury, TN; Tim (Kim) Jack and
Phil (Leah) Jack of Mt. Juliet, TN; Pam (Peter) Van Der Decker of Papua New
Guinea. Dora Lois also has 26 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 4 on
their way. Her sister-in-law, Irene Bowser, of Worthington, PA, is also
surviving.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Roy Bowser; and three
sisters: Violet French, Elizabeth (Abe) Crissman, and Margie Bowser.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to her grandson, Josiah
(Rachel) Van Der Decker, who are newly serving as missionaries in Papua New

A memorial service will be held at Lighthouse Baptist Church, 3145 N. Thompson
Lane, Murfreesboro, Tennessee  37129 on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 3:00 p.m.
