Charles Samuel Stouffer SR
Charles Samuel Stouffer, Sr., 69, of Goose Creek, SC., died Wednesday, October
29, 1997.
Born in Worthington, September 9, 1928, the son of the late Audley M. and Hazel
M. (Hepler) Stouffer Smith.
He attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa.
He retired in 1969, after spending 22 years with the U.S. Navy as a radar-man.
He spent the remainder of his life living near the Naval Base, Goose Creek, SC.
Surviving are his wife, Hazel Leona (Barnes) Stouffer of Goose Creek; son,
Charles Samuel Stouffer, Jr. of Summerville, SC; two daughters, Penny Marlene
Bugenhagen of Monona, Iowa, and Michele Ann Stouffer of Goose Creek; two
sisters, Marie Faye Burke of Fenelton, Pa., and Helen J. Springstead of Las
Vegas, Nev.
He was predeceased by sisters; Margaret G. Shoemaker, Violet Hazel Anthony, Cora
Jean Parker.
Visitation for Charles Samuel Stouffer, 69, of Goose Creek will be held from 6
to 8, Friday, October 31, 1997, at the James A. Dyal Funeral Home, 303 S. Main
St., Summerville, SC. Services at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 1, 1997 at the
James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial in Dorchester Memory Gardens, Summerville, SC.
