Helen Ruth Yockey Wilson
Helen Ruth Yockey Wilson, 89, of Adrian, died Saturday, January 19, 2019, at
home.
Born June 26, 1929, in Worthington, she was the daughter of the late Roy and
Alice (Hooks) Yockey.
She was a 1947 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
PA.
She formerly worked as a baker and was the owner of the Old Mill Restaurant. She
attended Worthington Baptist Church. Helen enjoyed playing bingo and loved
spending time with her grandchildren.
Left behind to cherish her memory includes her son, Paul (Donna) Wilson, of
Cowansville; daughter, Pam (Gary) Bowser, of Adrian; son, Jerry (Michelle)
Wilson, of Adrian; brother, Russ (Joan) Yockey, of Butler; sisters, Dee (Fred)
Plastow, of Kansas, and Ethel King, of Florida; sister-in-law, Shirley Wilson,
of Cowansville; grandchildren, Scott (Tammy) Wilson, of Cowansville, Gary Bowser
Jr. (Faleshia), of Kittanning, Jason Bowser (Rachelle), of Adrian, Chris
(Jessica) Bowser, of Yatesboro, Nicole Bowser (Ron), of Adrian, Jerry Wilson Jr.
(Brittany), of Rural Valley, Tiffany (Steve) Carter, of Adrian, Shane Cloak, of
Kittanning, and Leah Wilson, of Adrian; great-grandchildren, Zack Wilson
(Danielle), Adalynn, Cheyanne, Christopher Jr., and Sabrina Bowser, Hailey,
Hannah, and Ryan Paul Bowser, Madison Carter, Kaydence and Kolt Wilson, and
Brittany, Tyler, and Samantha Bowser.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul Wilson Sr.; sister,
Betty (Bill) Knappenberger; brothers-in-law, Duane King, Charles Wilson, Edward
Wilson (Ester), Woodrow Wilson, and Donald Wilson; and sisters-in-law, Cora
Yockey, and VernaBelle Durst.
The family would like to thank Good Samaritan Hospice and a special thanks to
the nurses and aides, especially Amy Knappenberger, Marie, and Patty.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, January 22, 2019, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9
p.m. at the Snyder Crissman Funeral Home, 832 East Brady Rd., Cowansville.
Additional viewing will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 23,
2019, from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Sue Foster
officiating.
Burial will follow in Sherrett Cemetery, Sherrett, PA.
