Joseph Alfred Turberville JR

Joseph Alfred Turberville, 71, of Worthington R.D. 1 died Monday, October 25,
1999, at 'St. Francies Medical Center, Lawrenceville.

Born in Worthington, June 11, 1928, he was the son of Joseph Sr, and Goldie
(Reeseman) Turberville.

He was a 1947 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.

Mr. Turberville had worked at Armco-Butler Works.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing and belonged to the Armstrong Hunting and Fishing
Club. He also belonged to the National American Legion.

He was a Protestant.

He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and received the Purple Heart and the
Bronze Star with a "V" for valor.

Surviving are his wife, Imogene (Snyder) Turberville, whom he married May 14,
1951; a son, William Turberville of Kittanning; two daughters, Mrs James
(Marcia) Pietrala of New Alexandria and Mrs. John (Cynthia) McCullough of Ford
Cliff; four grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by a brother, William and three sisters, Ida
Turberville, Helen Kirkwood, and Maragaret Yockey.

Friends of Joseph A. Turberville, who died Monday, Oct. 25, 1999, will be
received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at F. Duane
Snyder Funeral Home, 424 Bear St., Worthington. Services will be at 11 a.m.
Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. George Hall, pastor of Franklin Union
Baptist Church of Worthington, officiating. 

Burial will be at Lawn Haven burial Estates, Worthington, Pa.
