Glee Karleen Ruth Hutchison
Glee Karleen Ruth Hutchison, 87, of Warren, OH, went to be with the Lord
Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at Community Skilled Health Care Centre.
She was born June 16, 1929, in Worthington, PA, the daughter of the late Harry
and Katherine (Gaiser) Ruth.
Glee married Robert Edward Hutchison, Jr. on April 9, 1949. He preceded her in
death January 17, 2008.
She was a 1947 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.
She was a kind and loving homemaker and was a great cook. She was well known for
her Grandma Hutchie buns, butterfly toast, and fluffy mashed potatoes. Glee
volunteered as an Ombudsman representative and delivered Meals on Wheels.
Glee was a member of St. John Lutheran Church.
She enjoyed traveling, spending time in Florida and Texas during the winter and
camping at Holiday Camplands in Andover, Ohio, during the summer. Glee also
enjoyed playing corn hole and shuffleboard and loved spending time with her
family and friends. She called herself "an avid dieter".
She is survived by her children, Dennis (Carol) Hutchison of Dublin, OH; Sara
Glee (Tim) Baxter of Champion, OH; Beth Ann "Lucy" (Rick) Gilliland of Hubbard,
OH; Kreg Hutchison of Warren, OH; daughter-in-law, Shari Hutchison, Brockport,
NY; grandchildren, Heather (Alex) Thompson, Katie (Andrew) Haden, Rick
Gilliland, Anna Hutchison, Cassandra (Patrick) Carano, Denise Hutchison, Harry
Hutchison and Zachary Hutchison; great grandchildren, Cody, Jacob, Peyton and
Gage Thompson, Trenton and Ricky Gilliland and Charlie Haden; and two brothers,
Dean Ruth of Connellsville, PA and Dale Ruth of Fenelton, PA.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Edward Hutchison, Jr.;
sons, Harry and Keith Hutchison; and a sister, Erma Riddle.
Services will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, July 23, 2016, at St. John
Lutheran Church, 5734 Mahoning Ave., Warren, where Rev. Denise Gundersen will
officiate.
Friends may call from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM on Saturday at the church.
The family would like to thank the staff at Community Commons and Community
Skilled Healthcare Centre and All Caring Hospice for the love and care they gave
to Glee.
Interment will be in Meadow Brook Memorial Park, Warren, Oh.
The family requests that material contributions be made to St. John Lutheran
Church Memorial Fund, in her memory.
