Iola Maude Roofner Cloak Anker

Iola 'Maude' Roofner Cloak Anker, 85, of Dallas, Pa., passed away Monday, 
April 6, 2015, at Arden Courts, in Allentown, Pa.

She was born, May 16 1929 in Worthington, a daughter of Frank W. and Mary Ellen
(Brown) Roofner.

She was a 1947 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.

She was a district manager for Avon in Luzerne County (Pennsylvania), from 1962
through 1980. 

During her retirement, she was an avid bridge player, a president of Parents
without Partners and an enthusiastic member of a gourmet club. 

She was also an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church baking thousands of
cookies for fundraising events.

She is survived by brothers, Carl Frank Roofner, Edward "Buster" C. Roofner and
sister, Janet Arlene Keener;
children, Carol Mack, Marla Sherman and Alan Cloak; and stepson, William Anker. 


She was predeceased by her parents, Frank W. and Mary Ellen "Ella" (Brown)
Roofner; husbands, Clifton Paul Cloak and Harry Anker; and siblings, Robert
William Roofner, Vera Jean White, Alice Mae Dezort and Emma Marie Smith. 

Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Friday, April 10, 2015, at F.
DUANE SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, 119 Bear St., Worthington, Pa., where funeral
service will follow at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Paul William Roofner a nephew 
officiating.

Interment will be in Worthington Presbyterian Cemetery, Worthington, Pa.
