Geraldine Elizabeth Emigh Myers

Geraldine Elizabeth "Jean" Emigh Myers, 80, of Kittanning, died Saturday,
November 15, 2008, at Armstrong County Health Center. 

Born June 26, 1928, in Worthington, she was a daughter of Oscar B. and Alice C.
(Daily) Emigh. Mrs. Myers was a life resident of the area.

She attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa.  

Her husband of 62 years, Robert Mern Myers, died Nov. 13, 2007. 

She was employed at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital for 34 years, having
started as a nurses aid and retiring in 1990 as a clerk in the business office.
She also worked for several years as a switchboard operator. 

Mrs. Myers was a member of St. Luke's United Church of Christ in Kittanning and
the Friday Night Ball & Chain bowling league at King's Lanes where she served as
secretary for many years. 

She enjoyed bowling, crocheting, country music and spending time at their camp
in Templeton. She also was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan. 

She is survived by one son, Robert A. Myers and wife, Debbie, of Ford City; and
two granddaughters, Tamara Myers, of Bethel Park, and Rebecca Myers, of Ford
City. She is also survived by three brothers, William Jack Emigh, Frank Emigh
and Raymond Rosenberger, all of Kittanning; and two sisters, Barbara (Emigh)
Cloak, of Kittanning, and Patricia (Emigh) Shirey, of Lansing, Mich. 

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by
four infant children who died at birth; three half brothers, James W. Emigh,
Donald J. Emigh and Francis A. Emigh; four brothers, Oscar J. "Bud" Emigh, Clair
Emigh, Robert G. Emigh Sr. and Samuel K. Emigh; three half sisters, Mary Twila
Emigh, Hazel Marie Emigh and Anna Margaret "Peggy" (Emigh) Goodyear; and one
sister, Betty L. (Emigh) Waugaman. 

Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Tuesday at the SNYDER-CRISSMAN FUNERAL HOME, Kittanning. Funeral services will
be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Luke's United Church of Christ, Kittanning,
with one hour of viewing prior to the service. The Rev. John Snyder, her pastor,
will be officiating. 

Interment will be in the Kittanning Cemetery, Kittanning, Pa.

Kittanning.
