Arthur McGill Smith

Arthur McGill Smith, 28, of Weedville, Pa. (Elk County), died at 12:05 p.m.
Sunday, April 15, 1956 in Maple Avenue Hospital, DuBois, Pa.

A former resident of Worthington, Pa., Mr. Smith was born in Armstrong County
September 3, 1928, a son of Joseph Milton and Twila F. (Anderson) Smith.

He attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa.

He was a member of Worthington Lutheran Church, and the Moose Lodge, Clearfield,
Pa.

Surviving is his wife, Mrs. Helen (Stouffer) Smith; his parents; a son, William
M. Smith, at home; three step-children, Nancy Bowser, James Arthur Bowser and
Kay Bowser, at home; the paternal grandmother, Mrs. W. L. Smith of RD 2,
Worthington; the maternal grandmother, Mrs. Minnie Anderson of RD 4, New
Bethlehem, Pa.; a sister, Mrs. Herbert (Janet Marie) Stitt of RD 1, Ford City,
Pa.; four brothers, Howard Louis Smith of North Anson, Me.; Richard Wendell
Smith of RD 2, Worthington, Alan Dean of the U.S. Army at Fort Riley, Kan., and
Ellsworth Melvin Smith of the U.S. Army at Fort Storey, Va.

Friends are being received at Walker Funeral Home, Worthington, Pa., where
funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, 1956.

Burial will be in Worthington Lutheran Church Cemetery, Worthington, Pa.
