Maxine Sylvia Johnston Wintgens Mantel
Maxine Sylvia Johnston Wintgens Mantel of Branden, FL, passed away December 22,
2023.
Born October 2, 1928, a daughter of Blaine Milliron and Florence Joy (Swigart)
Johnston She lived with and was raised by her Uncle William and Aunt Dora
Baker.
She attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, PA.
She was 1946 gratuate of Ford Ciy High School, Ford City, Pa.
She worked at Bowling Green State University in Ohio.
She is survived by sons, Mark Richard Wintgens, and William Wintgens, and
daughters Denise Hunter and Christine Tavernier.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by husbands, Richard W. Wintgens
Sr., September 09,1981 and Myron Dale Mantel, April 4, 2004.
There were also two step-sisters from her father's second marriage, Sadie
Parilla and Beverly Milliron.
