Margaret Ellen Jones Lasher
Margaret Ellen "Peggy""Nan" (Jones) Lasher, 83, of Kittanning, died Tuesday,
August 23, 2011, at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital.
She was born December 1, 1927, in Worthington, a daughter of the late Arthur
Jones and Jessie (Hellam) Jones.
She attended Worthington-West-Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa.
She was a resident of Armstrong County all of her life and was a member of Grace
Lutheran Church, Manorville, and Eastern Star Chapter 277, Kittanning.
She was a Girl Scout leader, enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling, cooking and
loved being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Robert E. Lasher, of Kittanning;
sister, Helen Hershberger, of Melody Manor; daughter, Linda D. Schall and her
husband, Richard, of Kittanning; granddaughters, Wendy L. Stapleton-McCoy, of
Brockway/Ford City, and Amanda R. Wadding and her husband, Jay, of Indiana;
great-grandchildren, Ashley L. McCoy, of Ford City, Kevin Wadding, of Indiana,
and Aspin Wadding, of Indiana; six grandpets, Toby, Nermal, Ford, Owdie, Ninja
and Thor; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Robin
Elaine Lasher; and brothers, Walter Jones and Roy Jones.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at SNYDER-CRISSMAN
FUNERAL HOME, Kittanning. Additional viewing from 9 a.m. Friday until the
service at 10 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, Manorville, with Pastor Jack Delk.
Interment at Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, Pa.
