Virginia Lenore Stewart Ruetschi

Virginia Lenore Stewart Ruetschi of Pinellas Park, Fl., passed away on December
19, 2021.

She was born on February 12th, 1928 to Lucille (Patton) and Carl Stewart just
outside of Worthington PA.

She lived there with her brothers Richard, Donald, David, and sister Helen until
her marriage to George Ruetschi Sr. in 1948. They settled in Buffalo NY where
they raised 4 children John, George, Jeffrey, and Janeen.

She was a 1946 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
PA.

They were members of the German Club and they loved to dance. She was also
involved in the community, a supporter of the YMCA, and active in the
Presbyterian Church.

Caring for and helping others was integral to her life. She worked as a
caregiver for the West Seneca School for the Blind and Mentally Challenged until
she retired in 1981 and moved to Pinellas Park, Florida. She never really
retired, she had already been to Europe so she set out to see America and she
did. Proudly displaying all 50 states on the refrigerator with magnets she
collected along the way.

She and George also worked seasonally at Derby Lanes Dog Track, but when she
lost her dance partner of 56 years she decided her working days were over. But
her caring and helping days were not. She continued to help at the church food
bank and volunteer at the Hospice Center.

She lived a full healthy life, raised a family she was proud of helping others
along the way.

Virginia is survived by her 4 children; John, George, Jeffrey, and Janeen. Seven
grandchildren; Brenda, Janea, George III, Sean, Buddy, Jenny, and Ryan. Along
with 6 great-grandchildren; Elizabeth, Joseph, Josephine, Bridget, Paul, and
Elizabeth and sister Helen Bowser.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Richard,
Donald, and David.

She will be missed, but I think she is back dancing with our DAD!

A visitation for Virginia will be held Thursday, December 23, 2021, from 6:00 PM
