Doris Marie Snyder Aiken
Doris Marie Snyder Aiken, 77, of Leesburg, Florida died Wednesday, May 17, 2006
in Leesburg Hospital.
She was born May 22, 1928 in West-Franklin Township, Worthington, Pa., to Elton
E. and Mildred Buena (Shick) Snyder.
She was a 1946 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School were she met
the love of her life. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, James Arthur
Aiken, class of 1945.
She was a member of the Presbyterian faith before moving from Pittsburgh to
Florida in 1997. While living in Florida, she attended the Covenant Church,
Tavares, Florida.
Doris was a homemaker all of her adult life.
Survivors also include a daughter, Marsha Lynn (Ralph) Brown of Saltsburg, Pa.;
one grandson, Ian McKay (Meribeth) Brown of Armagh, Pa., one granddaughter,
Michelle Lynn (Ken) Kisiel of Avonmore, Pa.; five great-grandchildren, Abigial,
Nathan, Hannah and Jacob Brown and Allison Kisiel; one brother, John Arnold
Snyder of Hanover, Pa.; one sister Joan Louise Wood, Leesburg, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents; (her mother passed away, March, 2006);
two brothers, James Elton Snyder, July 5, 2003, and Allen Robert Snyder,
September 17, 2000.
Memorial Service at Covenant Church, Tavares, Florida for Doris Marie Aiken, 77,
who died Wednesday, May 17, 2006, are incomplete at this time.
