Bernice Jean Ray Maley

Bernice Jean (Ray) Maley, 84, of Inverness, Fla., died Sunday, December 9, 2012
at the Arbor Trail Rehab and Skilled Nursing Center in Inverness.

Bernice was born on September 1, 1928, in Armstrong County, Pa., and was the
daughter of James H. and Mary C. (Lamison) Ray.

She was a 1946 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School.

She was a teacher. Bernice moved to Inverness in 1984 from Donegal Township. She
was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Inverness.

Mrs. Maley was preceded in death by her husband, Chalmer Maley, in 2008.

She is survived by five children, R. Daniel Maley (Sandra) of Chicora, James M.
Maley (Jennifer) of Chicora, David C. Maley (Karen) of Butler, Patricia J. Pry
(Russ) of Harvest, Ala., and Judy A. Lohmueller (Rufus) of Ogden, Utah; 11
grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Ken (Martha A. Rider) Ellenberger of
Chicora, and Mrs. Charles (Shirley L.) Harvies of Annapolis, Md.; four brothers,
George H. Ray and Perry F. Ray both of Butler, Richard E. Ray of Indiana, Pa.,
and Donald W. Ray of Poland, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Sara M. Ellenberger,
Elsie E. Couch; four brothers, Wilbert L. Ray, James Herbert Ray, William H.
Ray, and Adam E. Ray.

Funeral services for Bernice Maley, who died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012, will be at 10
a.m. Saturday at Heinz Funeral Home & Cremation, Inverness, Fla.

Burial will be Monday at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fl.
