Richard Gene Goepfert
Richard "Gene" Goepfert, 89 of Oakmont (formerly of Penn Hills) passed away on
Monday morning, November 13, 2017.
He was born in Marwood, August 11, 1928, a son of Johnny W. and Julia (Lichanec)
Goepfert.
He was a graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa.
He was employed and retired from Sun Oil Co., as a tanker driver.
Gene was a member of Apostles Lutheran Church and proudly served our country in
the United States Navy.
He enjoyed playing golf.
Beloved Husband of the late Betty L. Goepfert. Loving Father of Betsy Rozen,
Denise Goepfert, and Cindy (Jurgen) Steinert. Grandfather of Gabrielle Salera
and Megan Burke. Great-Grandfather of Ella and Addison Burke and Braedyn Pici.
Brother of Gary Goepfert, Lowell Goepfert.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother John
Goepfert.
Services were private for the family.
Interment in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, Pa.
Donations may be made in his name to Apostles Lutheran Church, 447 Hamil Road,
Verona, PA. 15147.
