Dorothy Alice Edington Dunn
Dorothy Alice Edington Dunn of Florence, South Carolina, passed away on December
4, 2019.
She was born on September 25, 1928, to the late James and Agnes (Easley)
Edgington in Worthington, Pa.
She was a 1946 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.
Dorothy married the love of her life, Charles P. Dunn, on June 25, 1950.
She retired from AT&T and loved to play bingo and spend time with her family.
Mrs. Dunn attended New Beginnings Church.
She is survived by her children, Charlotte Rotan (Robert) of Fayetteville, NC,
Patty D. Gainey of Hartsville, SC and James Dunn (Missy) of Florence, SC; nine
grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren;
several nieces and nephews and her sister, Ruth Bundy of Worthington, Pa.
She was predeceased by her parents, James Edgington and Agnes Edgington; her
husband Charles P. Dunn; her daughter Donna Perkins and brothers, James,
Francis, Arthur, and Paul.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 5th, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
and on Friday, December 6th, 2019 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at 2825 Cobblestone
St, Florence, SC. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 6th, 2019
at 3:00 PM at the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel (2402 S Irby St,
Florence, SC).
Entombment will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
