James Henry Yockey

James Henry Yockey, 80, of Worthington, died Tuesday, May 29, 2007, in Armstrong
County Memorial Hospital. 

He was born February 20, 1927, in Worthington, a son of the late Ulysses Boyd
and Delilah Jane (Lemmon) Yockey.

He attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, PA. 

He retired from Eljer in Ford City after 30 years of service. 

He was a life member of the Worthington Evangelical Lutheran Church, where he
had been an active member. 

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time at his camp in Brookville. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Eva (Adams) Yockey; three
children, Shirley (Lee) Duthry, of Worthington, James Yockey, of Florida, and
Ray (Barbara) Yockey, of Cowansville; nine grandchildren; five
great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ruby Rugini. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Marie and
Genieve; four half sisters, Nona, Vivian, Freda and Violet; and five brothers,
Lemmon, William, Eugene, Charles and George. 

Visitation 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the F.
DUANE SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, Worthington. Additional visitation will be from 10
a.m. until funeral services at 11 a.m. in Evangelical Lutheran Church in
Worthington. The Rev. Nola Eisenbrandt, church pastor, with officiate. 

Interment in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, Pa. 

Memorial contributions may be made to Worthington Evangelical Lutheran Church or
the American Cancer Association.
